Claudia Furst is Director of Web and Technology for Action Economics, LLC. Previously she was Manager of Multimedia Development for Standard and Poor's MMS. She joined MMS International in 1989 as a financial economist, responsible for the money and credit forecasting and commentary for the U.S. market. Later as a web developer at Standard & Poor's Claudia received several awards, often involving innovation and product development. The most noteworthy of them was the McGraw-Hill Companies Corporate Achievement Award in Innovation in 1999 for her role in the development of www.globalmarkets.com. It is the highest honor Standard & Poor's parent company gives to employees. She holds an M.A. in economics from San Francisco State University and a B.A. in business from FGV School of Business in Brazil.
